Research & Planning for Forest reconstruction in North Evia
Aim: Forest reconstruction in North Evia after the devastating conflagration of 2021 that resulted in the loss of 512.031,54 acres of land.
- Designation of administrative measures for the protection of flora and fauna.
- Observation and recording of the data pertaining to the newly formed eco systems in the wake of the fires ,as well as, monitoring the presence of indigenous fauna in the afflicted area.
- Seasonal usage of the habitat by mammals.
CERTED.EU Task :
- Installation of 4G wild life monitoring cameras in key areas.
- Observation and recording of fauna presence in the area in real time using the LANDBOX platform.
- Exporting the data and statistics collected by LANDBOX platform on the presence and wellbeing of indigenous fauna in the specified habitat along with the data and statistics on human presence in the area and the interaction between the two.
